Protect the areas that needs it the most and wears out the quickest.  Install the May Wes Auger liners.  The poly liner has the exceptional wear characteristics of the ultra high molecular weight (UHMW) poly.  It guards against corrosion PLUS provides a smooth, slick surface for the grain to flow.

Instead of trying to cut, weld or patch, use the May Wes Grain Auger Liners.  These kits contain all you need to cover the worn areas under the auger(s).  Lead edges are covered with stainless steel for smooth flow of grain.
